The New York Museum of Photography (NYMOP) invites communities to experience eternity and the stillness of time through powerful images. In our rapid everyday life, moments are taken for granted and drive through the consistent shifts in our surroundings. Photography challenges constant change by highlighting moments, stories, messages, feelings and connections. The art form teaches us to take a moment to introspect and look deeper. 

The logo features a circular shape, representing the lens of a camera, which is commonly associated with photography. Within the circular frame, there is a central focal point capturing a frozen moment in time. Surrounding the central focal point is a blurring effect, representing the camera’s ability to focus and blur. The design system is inspired by the aperture and photography’s ability to capture the essence of everlasting moments and time being suspended.
